RWYB- (Run what ya brung) 375lbs,
As we prepare to start the 2024 points season we want everyone to be aware of the points structure for this year and going forward.
The series consists of 7 races, of these 7 races you must race in 5 (same class) to be eligible for awards at year end. The points are based on the finishing position in the feature event (or qualifying in inclement weather) Everyone must drop one race day.
Place points example:
1st 50
2nd 49
3rd 48
4th 47
5th 46
The points will continue to descend in number accordingly.
If a racer is disqualified / black flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, the racer must use that race in his/her year end points and may NOT use it as a “drop race”.
If a racer is disqualified / black flagged due to an unsafe or unsportsmanlike driving infraction; post-race engine; oil; fuel; or mechanical failure on the track; or being underweight, the race may be used as a “drop race” if found “Non-Malicious” if you are disqualified and it is found to be a “Malicious Infraction” you will NOT be allowed to drop that race.
If the racer is repeatedly disqualified for the same reason, he/she may have the same consequences or penalties as unsportsmanlike conduct at the Race Director’s discretion.
Any attempt to counterfeit or remanufacture OEM parts will be a disqualification and cannot be used as a “drop race”. This would be a Malicious DQ.
Driving in an aggressive manner, such as: bumping, crowding, blocking, chopping, getting out of your kart causing conflicts, antagonizing another driver while racing, or causing an intentional accident will get the driver black flagged for the race and possible for the event. This includes on the grid, track and scale
The waving black flag is also used during practice, qualifying, and racing to signal the racer of a technical mechanical infraction. Failure to leave the track after receiving the black flag on two consecutive laps may result in disqualification. If the flag is used for a safety violation, scoring will cease as of the lap on which the flag is first displayed. If the flag is used for technical violation that could potentially improve performance, and the violation occurred during qualification, the racer will start in the rear of the field. If the flag is displayed during the feature, the racer will receive zero points for the race. Safety is defined as: missing neck brace, broken muffler, etc. Technical Violation is defined as: muffler falling off, etc
We look forward to having a fun, family oriented year of racing.
